Our basic principles

Elimination of discrimination based on gender, ethnic origin, ideology, social background, skin color, etc. We should eliminate gender biases/stereotypes from the minds of future generations.
Social mobility
Everyone should have the opportunity to expand their career and thus their social status. We believe that women should not be forced to choose between family and work.
AI / Digital Focus
We believe that women have excellent skills required for digital and technical careers, and to advance in digital technology, women must be equally represented in the workplace. Due to the gender imbalance in AI (currently 18% women), we are focused on empowering and hiring women for AI jobs. This is a function description to be used in the description field.

We are all ethical AI enthusiasts!
Naz Cilo-van Norel studied electrical engineering and political science. She has worked for major engineering projects around the world for more than 30 years. She founded the Women AI Academy to change the status quo for WOMEN IN TECH and humanize AI with WOMENPOWER. To this end, she started impact projects such as WOMEN AI Academy and ETHICAL AI Training and Consulting. For Ethical AI, she works with IEEE SA to support the Ethical AI Certification Program.

Swantje studied business administration in Hamburg and worked for several years in asset management at a major international bank. During her studies she focused on human resources and law. After further studying to become a teacher, Swantje worked for several years as a teacher with a focus on migrant children. In addition to teaching, she has supported many children from educationally disadvantaged families in obtaining a qualified school leaving certificate and offered application training.

Erum Afzal is pursuing a PhD in robotics and intelligent machine engineering. She previously holds an MS in Information Technology. She is passionate about providing quality education in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Machine Learning and has delivered many courses, workshops and lectures on Data Science and Machine Learning at various international venues.
She is also a mentor, speaker and trainer and has been associated with renowned organizations such as Women AI Academy, ETHOS AI, Women Who Code, Omdena and Neuro Match Academy (NMA).

- We will offer the main content in English. However, our moderators and experts also speak German and Portuguese learners can also ask questions in German and Portuguese if they need help. Our goal is to help learners understand and learn the skills they need for their new dreams.
- For German learners: if you feel that your English is not sufficient to participate in the program – B2 level of English is sufficient to understand and follow the English content. And you also have the opportunity to practice and improve your English in the program. Don’t try to be a perfectionist to put off your dreams!
- Each Learning Circle is led by a moderator and expert/mentor and meets online.
